EasyJet Covid Test FAQs

Is it safe to travel abroad with EasyJet?

EasyJet have implemented extra measures that comply with UK Government guidelines ensuring you can travel to and from your destination safely. Further information can be found on the EasyJet's website.

Do I need to wear a face mask on board an EasyJet flight?

Wearing a face mask on Easyjet flights is mandatory for all passengers aged 6 years and older. You will not be permitted to board if you arrive at the gate without a face mask. You’ll also be required to wear a mask to enter and travel through the airport terminal at your departure and arrival airport.

If you have an exemption from wearing a mask, you must bring a signed doctor’s letter or medical certificate (printed or digital format) with you to the airport when you travel that clearly states that you’re exempt from wearing a face mask (please note, there’s no need to specify the medical reason for the exemption). This helps to ensure that both passengers and crew can travel comfortably and confidently throughout the journey. Please see the Easyjet website for further guidance.

What implementations have EasyJet put in place to reduce the risk of infection?

Additional cleaning and disinfection procedures are in place for all aircraft cabins, on top of an existing daily aircraft cleaning schedule. Every aircraft is subject to a daily disinfection process which provides surface protection from viruses that lasts for at least 24 hours.

All Easyjet aircrafts are fitted with state of the art filtration technology. High efficiency particle arresting HEPA filters which filter 99.97% of airborne contaminants in the cabin, including viruses and bacteria. These filters are the same as those used in hospitals and through these the cabin air gets replaced every 3-4 minutes.

What should I do before arriving in England?

As of 4am Monday 4 October 2021, the rules for international travel to England now depend on your vaccination status. Please note, all travellers must complete a passenger locator form prior to boarding regardless of vaccination status.

Fully vaccinated travellers must show proof of vaccination before boarding an EasyJet flight.

Partially or unvaccinated travellers must show evidence of a negative Covid-19 test. This can be in the form of a PCR or Antigen test. Further guidance can be found on the government website.

What should I do once I have arrived in England?

Once you have disembarked from your EasyJet flight, you’re required to follow the UK arrivals testing rules. These rules will vary according to the country you are arriving from.

What else do I need to know before travelling with EasyJet?

Entry requirements differ from country to country and may be subject to change with very little notice so we advise that you check the EasyJet and government website regularly before you travel.

We recommend using our Home Delivery Travel Planner to confirm that the lead times for your chosen test are in line with the country you are travelling to. This will ensure you have allowed enough time to test and receive your results within the required timeframe before your departure.

Each passenger is responsible for checking and conforming with the entry and exit requirements at their arrival and return destinations. Please be aware that if you fail to comply with these requirements you may not be able to travel with EasyJet or be allowed to enter your destination.
