By car

Travelling to Newcastle International Airport by car? The A1 is the principal road linking to the dual carriageway A696 which leads directly to Newcastle International Airport. From Edinburgh, the A68/A696 provides a direct road to the airport.

Newcastle International Airport provides a range of parking facilities at the airport including Short Stay One, Short Stay Two and Long Stay Car Parks.

By train

Newcastle International Airport is well connected to the North East rail network by the Metro service.

It takes around 25 minutes to get to Newcastle Airport from Newcastle Central Station. There are trains every 12 minutes from 5.44am (Sundays 6.27am) to 11.58pm. If you're using the Metro service, you should head to the signposted Metro station under the train station.
