TUI Covid Test FAQs

Is it safe to travel abroad with TUI?

TUI have implemented extra measures that comply with UK Government guidelines ensuring you can travel to and from your destination safely. Further information can be found on TUI's website.

Do I need to wear a face mask on board a TUI flight?

All passengers over six years old are required to bring their own face masks on board all TUI flights, including while sleeping, unless you’re exempt due to a medical condition. Please see TUI’s website for additional information.

For long haul flights you will need to change your mask every four hours so it is recommended that passengers keep a supply. You’re also required to wear a face mask even if you have had both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine. If you can't wear a mask for health reasons, you can download a government exemption card, or you are able to wear a face shield.

What implementations have TUI put in place to reduce the risk of infection?

All TUI aircrafts would have been deep-cleaned from nose to tail, with special attention given to the surfaces passengers frequently come into contact with, like seats and tray tables.

All aircrafts are fitted with super-efficient, state-of-the-art ventilation (HEPA) and filtration systems to control air quality and circulate fresh air around the cabin every few minutes. These systems are similar to those you would find in hospital settings and meet the highest standards of clinical hygiene. Further information can be found on the TUI website.

What should I do before arriving in the UK?

As of 4am Monday 4 October 2021, the rules for international travel to England now depend on your vaccination status. Please note, all travellers must complete a passenger locator form prior to boarding regardless of vaccination status.

Fully vaccinated travellers must show proof of vaccination before boarding a TUI flight.

Partially or unvaccinated travellers must show evidence of a negative Covid-19 test. This can be in the form of a PCR or Antigen test. Further guidance can be found on the government website.

What should I do once I have arrived in the UK?

Once you have disembarked from your TUI flight, you’re required to follow the UK arrivals testing rules. These rules will vary according to the country you are arriving from.

What else do I need to know before travelling with TUI?

Entry requirements differ from country to country and may be subject to change with very little notice so we advise that you check the TUI and government website regularly before you travel.

We recommend using our Home Delivery Travel Planner to confirm that the lead times for your chosen test are in line with the country you are travelling to. This will ensure you have allowed enough time to test and receive your results within the required timeframe before your departure.

Each passenger is responsible for checking and conforming with the entry and exit requirements at their arrival and return destinations. Please be aware that if you fail to comply with these requirements you may not be able to travel with TUI or be allowed to enter your destination.
