That's why we've created the Medicspot Innovation Grant – a chance for the next generation of doctors, pharmacists and healthcare professionals to voice their ideas and receive support for their studies.

Why apply?

Medicspot is offering £500 grants to help fund your studies and get you off to the best possible start. You are free to spend the money as you wish, but we encourage using it to support your own innovation, contribute towards learning resources, books, medical supplies and travel. Successful applicants will also receive an annual membership with Medicspot.

The challenge

In your application, you must answer the following two questions:

  • NHS primary care is struggling and for many decades, the government has encouraged patients to go to their pharmacy as a first port of call with limited success. How can we encourage more patients to visit their local pharmacy for primary care? (500 words)
  • Digital health innovation has been heralded as the saviour to many pressing global health challenges. What is the biggest challenge facing the widespread adoption of digital healthcare? (500 words)

Who can apply?

To be eligible for the Medicspot Innovation Grant, you must be studying at a UK university or have an offer to study at a UK university. This grant is open to all students studying a degree (or equivalent) related to public health, medicine, nursing, pharmacy or life sciences.

When is the deadline?

Grant applications should reach us no later than 31/03/2020. The online application form should be completed with your name, university, contact details and answers to the two questions on primary care and digital health innovation.
