Is Medicspot right for me?

The pandemic showed the world the power of digital, but it can still be an adjustment to begin working with a provider built around digital technology. You don’t need to have previous experience of digital health to work for us, just a desire to learn and a willingness to embrace new ways of working, as well as registration with the GMC.

Many of our GPs fit into one (or more) of the following categories:

Parents and families

Always be there for the school run with flexible hours that fit around your family.

Strivers of clinical excellence

Support your passion of delivering clinical excellence using Medicspot’s state-of-the-art technology and supportive environment all from the comfort of your home.

Passionate about innovation

Be part of an industry-leading digital health company, where you will be the first to trial, and feedback on, new products and services.

Working abroad

Get the best of both worlds; continue your work in the UK while soaking up the sun overseas.

Putting safety first

We live and breathe patient safety. Not only is it vital to providing an excellent service and raising the bar for patient care, but it gives our GPs the confidence to know that while they aren’t physically with the patient, they are delivering care to the highest standards.

At the time of application, you will be required to provide your CV, GMC number and confirmation that you are on the GP’s performers list. If successful, you will also need to provide an up to date DBS certificate, and valid statutory and mandatory training certificates. You will also need to provide 2 references and Right to Work documentation, where appropriate, through our external checks and references provider.

Is indemnity provided?

Yes, clinical indemnity is provided, but you will still need your own professional indemnity.

What are the shift patterns?

Our sessions are 4.5 hours long and our service is open from 09:00 until 21:00, 7 days a week. Shifts usually run from 09.00-13.30 and 13:30-18:00 with a shorter evening shift from 18:00-21:00 (which is the equivalent of ⅔ of a session).

How many patients will I see per hour?

Clinicians are expected to see at least 4 patients per hour.

Is there any time set aside for admin?

Clinicians are given time for administration during each session.

What training do you offer?

Clinicians will receive full induction training. Induction will include but is not limited to organisation and team structure, work environment, technology, systems and processes, rota, breaks and leave, workflow and clinical guidelines. Mandatory training and associated refresher and developmental training will also be provided.
We are creating a professional development programme for all our clinicians, as we recognise that the more skills and knowledge our doctors have, the better the clinical care we can provide to our patients.

What kind of support is there?

We have dedicated clinical management, operations and customer service teams on hand for support 7 days per week, 09:00-21:00. The support we offer is unparalleled when compared with traditional GP practice.
