As of June 2021, travellers from the UK are not permitted entry to Switzerland. Travel from the UK is restricted to Swiss and Liechtenstein nationals.

Covid-19 antigen tests are not accepted for those travelling to Switzerland from the UK. Alternatively, you can test for Covid-19 using one of our PCR test kits which must be taken within 72 hours before departing the UK. Failure to provide a negative Covid-19 test may result in travellers being refused entry to Switzerland.

Can I travel to Switzerland?

As of 21 May 2021, travellers from the UK are not permitted entry to Switzerland. UK nationals and other non-Swiss nationals arriving from a ‘high risk-country’ or outside the Schengen area are not permitted entry to Switzerland.

These restrictions do not apply to UK nationals who are legally resident in Switzerland but you will need to show proof of residence. Which Coronavirus test do I need to travel to Switzerland?

Travellers from ‘high risk countries’, including the UK, will need to present a negative PCR test result which must be carried out less than 72 hours before arrival. Further information can be found on the Federal Office of Public Health website.

UK travellers must also complete an online form and provide their contact details before entering Switzerland.

What are the quarantine rules upon entering Switzerland?

Upon arrival, passengers entering Switzerland must immediately go to suitable accommodation (e.g. a hotel or holiday apartment) and quarantine for 10 days. Visitors must also report their arrival to the cantonal authority within two days.
