DX Returns

For fast results, we recommend using the DX Returns Method. Returns via the tracked DX courier service is the fastest and most reliable way of returning your PCR sample. This service is included in the cost of your test, there is no extra charge.

If you drop your PCR sample at an available DX site before 5pm, Monday to Friday your sample will reach our Laboratory by 9am the next day. Friday drop-offs are delivered on Saturday Morning. Your test will then be processed and you will receive your result within 24 hours of your sample arriving at the Laboratory.

Labels for returning your sample

If you would like to return your kit via DX, you’ll need to request a DX returns label for your kit, print and attach it to your kit.

Once you have followed the instructions and completed your test and registration, please take to your local DX drop-off location for Covid tests. You can find your nearest DX drop off location on the Medicspot page of DX website.

Returning your kit

  • Ensure you have completed your registration, and have kept your registration card safe.
  • Make a note of the tracking number located on your return label below the uppermost barcode – this is a 10-digit number. There is space on your registration card to make a note of this number. This tracking number will be required to complete the registration of your test kit.
  • Drop your kit at one of the available drop-off sites – please see the list of available locations here to find your nearest DX drop-off point.

Dropping off your sample

  • Please do not enter the premises if you have any symptoms of Covid-19
  • Please follow all site safety guidance and wear a face covering
  • Retain a record of the DX tracking reference number
  • Drop your sample into the container with the DX sample drop label securely attached

Royal Mail

As an alternative option, you can also return your test kits using Royal Mail. Our PCR kits contain a Royal Mail Tracked 24 Returns label, and can be posted at any Royal Mail Priority Post box. You can find your nearest Priority Post box on the Royal Mail website, along with last collection times.

Please follow these steps when returning your kit to us via Royal Mail:

Ensure you have completed your registration, and have kept your registration card safe.
Complete your test and follow the instructions to package and seal your test kit and box up ready for posting.
Make a note of the tracking number on the Royal Mail label on the underside of your box – there is a space on your registration card to make a note of this number. This tracking number will be required to complete your registration of your test kit.
Post your kit at a Priority Post box – details of Priority Post box locations can be found here, along with last collection times.
Royal Mail collect and deliver on Sundays from selected locations across the UK – please check the priority box you are using for collection times from that location. If your priority box does not have a Sunday collection, kits posted after the cut off on Saturday will not be collected until Monday and will not arrive at the lab until Tuesday. Please check when planning your testing window for travel.

Royal Mail services are impacted over Bank Holidays and Public Holidays; please check seasonal posting times on the priority post box link to plan returning your test to us accordingly.

Take directly to lab

As a third option, you may choose to take the kit directly to our Lab partner yourself or arrange your own courier to do so.

Please note, your costs and risks of doing this would be your own responsibility and we would not be able to reimburse or support you in any way.

Our Lab partner address is as follows, and the Goods In department are available 8am to 5pm, 7 days a week.
